Glad everyone is liking the 4-pack deal on the HR's ... they really are an outstanding head.

... who knows, the 4-pack might even become "standard" ... guess we'll all have to see ...

Anyway, thanks for the thumbs up on the new packaging as well ... that's actually "my design" ... so I'm glad to see folks like the new look!

On a whole other note, just got back from a North Dakota hunt this morning. Got my first velvet buck ... a beautiful 10-pointer. Great week all-around for NAP up in NoDak. 6 P&Y class bucks!

3 Thunderhead EDGE kills, 1 2-blade Bloodrunner, a Nitron kill ... and the Spitfire MAXX did the trick on my 10.

Should have a full "report" on our blog soon ... and some video footage from my hunt that you simply have to see to believe ...

Can't wait to see it Jason! Thanks for the update and I certainly hope those 4 packs stick.

Alright, got John @ Team UOA to post a short clip from the hunt.

Go to Ultimate Outdoor Adventures »HOME, and it'll start playing automatically on the lefthand side. If you mouse over the clip, and click on the "Vimeo" icon, you can watch it at a bit larger scale.

Spitfire MAXX did some serious damage. Can't fully tell due to the video quality (though you'll hear John mention it a few times), but there was blood blowing out of this buck like nothing I'd seen before.

To be honest, when we recovered him, his insides were coming out of the entrance hole. It was pretty brutal.

Couldn't have asked for better results. Perfect heartshot, deer down within sight, quick and efficient kill.

All around, that trip to NoDak to hunt with John and his crew was an amazing experience. BEAUTIFUL terrain, great folks and top notch hunting! Hopefully, God willing, I'll head back to NoDak to share another hunt or 12 with Team UOA in the future.

Next up, Maine Moose!

Man, you had to ask didn't you, lol?

I'm "undecided". I'll likely go with the Thunderhead EDGE. Then, there's always the proven Hellrazor ...

I had thoughts after this hunt of trying the Spitfire MAXX again ... or maybe even the Bloodrunner 2-blade ... but on my first Moose hunt, the "old school" in me keeps dragging me back to the fixed heads.

Worth noting, Ralph Cianciarulo and two others just dropped 3 bulls in the past week or so with the 2-blade ... so it's doing a fine job of putting down some big critters.

... still imagine it'll be the Thunderhead EDGE for my Moose hunt!
