Ground squirrel meets Talon -

Some pics. of the squirrels we got this weekend.

These heads are awesome!We were walking down an old unused blacktop road shooting the squirrels laying on the road for the heat.The heads held up to the abuse of hitting the road! AWESOME HEAD STAN!!!!

Okie it is very adictive!The turkey wernt very coapritive, so it went from a turkey hunt to a small game hunt and we had a blast!

Thanks for the great weekend Mike. I see you have a pic of one the squirrel we shoot. Dont forget the head also took the beating of the road and the guard rail behind it. Awesome head.

Its a great sound when it hits, really has a thwack to it. Mike blasted one off a stump at 33yrds.

So jealous, I had two Talons loaded in the quiver this past weekend just hoping to wax a squirrel so my boy could see something feel the wrath of the Athens. Unfortunately, I think I have some bad karma as I can't ever seem to get anything with a heartbeat near me when I'm ready to lay it down.

Isn't that the way it works. Pappy always said boy thats why they call it huntin not killin. LOL. Used to make me so mad I thought he was razing me. Now I know. Thats ok I have let the small critters build up lately on our place.

Travis dont you just love how when a coyote is hit with anything unless its a 22-250 in the dome. THey try to turn themeselves inside out, to figure out what bit them lol. Or spin in circles like a top.
