I took the time to make myself a Magnum Series set up with my top dog being the RFA 150 grain Phoenix with a 100 grain steel insert threaded on a 27.5 inch Dangerous Game Full Metal Jacket with a total weight of 790 grains.
Once I finished cutting, and tuning the shafts with field points, I added the RFA Phoenix on my arrow shaft and gave it a shot at 20 yards - BINGO, dead on. I backed up at 60 yards and allowed myself one shot ( Range checked twice with a bushnell range finder ) and adjusted my HHA wheel to 60 yard mark. I got Sylvie and asked her to come with me so she could help me judge the flight of this Magnum set up. I drew my 84# APA Black Mamba, set my pin in the center of the target and let the arrow fly........straight as a needle and we heard it hit the target but we couldn't see exactly where the arrow went. To both our amazement, it hit dead on where I had my pin set, right in the middle. We took a few picture to record the moment, Stan, this broadhead of your flies true, to say it flies like a field point is an understatement. Daniel and Sylvie ![]() ![]()

Wow, Daniel, outstanding shooting. Definitely has more to do with the Indian than the arrow though
![]() Pleased that the broadhead is shooting well for you. At 84# and 790 grains you better make sure there aren't any Moose behind the one that you shoot You may be packing twice as much meat as you want to.Have a great day! |
