This 3 day week-end black bear and moose -

We have all our gear packed up and we are just about ready to head out on our first black bear/moose combo week end bowhunt. I've managed to give the Phoenix 150 grain head an excellent edge and we will try and get a second animal with it. The leaves are already starting to fall off the trees, man is this fall ever early so hopefully we will see something and come back with a fun filled story / pics for all of you. Sylvie is also ready and we will get back to you soon.

Should any hunting season be opened for some of you, good luck, be safe and shoot straight

We had to make it back home this evening, two huge nasty weather systems made our trip out very dangerous, we couldn't see anything as much as the rain was falling so hard on our truck. Our gravel roads were pretty slick however we did manage to make it back safe and sound. These systems should make their way out of the Deh Cho valley and we will try again in the morning.

Wouldn't it be totally awesome if Sylvie shot a moose, I think we would have a pretty happy girl right there

Its 06:30 and were ready to head back out, The rain as really slowed down and its going to be sunny tomorrow. BuckFeverLodge, just to let you know, this bowhunt today is for you and your soon to be bride, Both Sylvie and I are so happy for you as the announcement you've made here has brought back some great memories of our commitment to each other. So, with that being said, wish her a great day and the Phoenix, hopefully will be flying today.

Our moose and caribou are both walking about everywhere now and we can't wait to get to our hunting spot, again, congratulations BFL

Daniel hope you two have great luck today.

We are due for some bad weather system to hit us starting this afternoon. Really high winds and temps dropping 25 - 35 degrees, they are even saying a possibility of some light snow above 6000 ft, we are at 6500 + a few, and lows for the next two nights in the upper teens to low 20's.

Sylvie ~ you go get you that Moose sweetie, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Camoprincess, believe me we tried, summary for today, rain, rain, wind, more rain and again, more rain and no moose or bear yet, we are heading back out tomorrow morning, the rain should be finished by then.

It was raining so hard at one point, we thought we could hear someone building an Arch in the bush, hihihihihi

Nothing this morning, no moose or bear but I did manage to shoot a Spruce Grouse. I added it to another tread on RFA. I did want to show you where I was knelt this morning, it was a great location, tons of moose sign all around.

And here a picture of the Phoenix on duty !!!!!

Were going to come back for the evening hunt, now that the weather turned for the good, we will perhaps have a better chance
