Got some pics from a buddy of mine that shot a blacktail buck last night. Normally, we hunt blacktails in November and elk in September, but when this one gave him an opportunity he just had to take it. He just loved the drop point.
The shot was slightly quartering away. The off side leg was broken by the Phoenix. He was taking pics by himself so there aren't a lot of pics. Here's the entrance. ![]() The exit. ![]() One he took to show the broken leg. ![]() Two of the deer. ![]()

Very nice Stan, thanks for sharing. Will he get any pics of the shoulder after skinning? What comments did he have about the Phoenix? Wow, just seeing those pics of the entrance and exits got me all jazzed up. I swear that thing is waving at me in pic #3.

Hey Steve, he said the buck went about 30 yards after the shot before it was down. It was a double lung shot, right over the top of the heart.
He said he shot the buck with a broadhead that he took right out of the package. I've been working on improving the sharpness out of the package for people like him that just screw them on and hunt. Said he would shoot another deer with it just the way it is, but I think I've got him convinced to bring it over so I can sharpen it for him ![]() I asked him if he would save the leg bone/shoulder bone so I could take pics if he doesn't. |

Now that is awesome, thank you Stan !!!!! Very nice deer
The one thing that enables me to shoot so well with your broadheads is the confidence I have in them, 100% to be exact. I honestly believe the Phoenix broadhead is here to stay

Here they are. First, with the skin off of the offside leg.
![]() When he cut through the meat the leg literally fell off of the hanging deer as the leg was severed on the bone just below the shoulder blade. We laid the body down, set the leg next to it and took this picture. ![]() I also snapped a pic of the entrance from inside the rib cage. Severed two ribs and cut part of a third.

all I can say is WOW! If I didn't have so many Steelforce heads I would be using a phoenix this year.
