Standing Bear will become famous soon enough
Default Phoenix 150 at high speeds !!!!

Stan, I finished walk back tune the Phoenix 150's today and they are rockin' !!! My new athens bow's sweet spot is at 93# and that's where I decided to tune a bunch of 250 spine Dangerous Game FMJ's with your Phoenix 150's. The broadhead has a 100 grain steel insert bringing the total arrow weight to 760 grains.

The arrows fly so true, its ridiculous. Now, I can take a serious stance on these big game with a set up that is in my opinion, rock solid. I'm sure your 150 grain phoenix will lead the pack with authority !!

Will keep you updated on future developments

Daniel, 760 grains from 93#...just line them up and shoot 'em two at a time

Sounds like a great set up, no matter what the game. Looking forward to pics

Wow that is some power. It will be quite the pleasure to see some action from this set-up. Best of luck to you.

Hey SB...post a pic of your setup (bow & arrows) I would like to get a visual of that machine...What arrow speeds are you getting out of that setup... I am starting to get the bow itch and the athens is on top of my list right now... If you don't mind me asking what did the bear bone bow with 100lb limbs set you back? I am not sure why I need 100lb limbs for what I hunt but you have my interest. Sending an arrow that large with a phoenix 150 on the end... Well that has to do some damage.

I must be missing something, as the only 150gr Phoenix I see on your website is a glue-on model for wood shafts. Do you have a 150gr screw on Phoenix? I'm thinking of upping my broadhead weight, and so far the only 150gr heads I can find are the Silver Flame and the Buzzcut/Stingers. I'd love to have a 150gr 3-blade CoC head, and 05-sprcrw's video comparison really impressed me with the Phoenix. I was thinking of going with the 125gr Phoenix, but if you have a 150 screw-in, then I'm really interested.

You can get a 150 glue on and then get a glue on adapter to convert it to screw in I believe that is what Daniel did with his 150 grain pheonix to get them to screw in instead of glue on.

roosclan, at this time we only have the 100 and 125 in a screw-in. Machining an entire head from a single piece of steel is an expensive process and so far the demand has justified the expense of adding to our line up, but it's great to hear from people who want something else as we try hard to accomodate customers. As mentioned above, you can get adapters to turn the 150 into a screw-in head. If you go that route, I'd recommend a steel adapter as the aluminum ones can have some issues with bending. If you have any other questions, fire away.
