Default Small game 2010-2011

Our season on raccoons opened up on the 15th and lasts until the 15th of March. Went out for the first time last night with my oldest daughter. Didn't see any raccoons, but did manage to get a nutria and this little possum. Memory card filled up so no pics of the nute

Daniel (Standing Bear) and I have discussed shot placement on small game before. Shot this one with a 125 grain Talon on a Wal-Mart Wolverine cheap carbon arrow. He never knew what hit him.

Exit

I still have an elk tag in my pocket that opens up on Saturday. Other than that it's all small game for me. I'll post pics on this thread, hoping that you all will do the same, regardless of the heads that you shoot. Small game is fun, hope you all get out and do some of it this year.

Dang Stan, you were serious when you told me you love shooting small game. You certainly didn't waste any time getting after it. Sounds like a lot of fun and I will be running the Talon through some coons later this year.

You guys are simply amazing !!!! I am going out today on a good snow shoe walk and I'm bringing with me a few Talon tipped flu-flu's. Hopefully, I'll be able to bring back a few pics

Small game hunting is such a great way to sharpen your shooting skills and really, it doesn't matter if your game is small of big, putting your arrow where it really counts is what matters !!!

Wishing all of you a great day and share a smile with someone today.

Well, I finally got a new computer so I can post some new pics. You guys better get out and get started because I've got two weeks off now!

This a raccoon from a couple of weeks ago.

Picture above courtesy of my hunting partner, chief photographer and youngest daughter. Here she is.

Not sure why these pictures turned out so blurry, my oldest was behind the camera and she takes better pics than I do. Maybe because it was really cold out. Anyway, here's a pic of Christmas dinner

And of course one with my hunting buddy in it.

What happened to the beard? And I'm not talking about the turkey either.
