Well I was out hunting hard trying to fill my last 2 doe tags this weekend. Hunting was tough and cold but still great to be out there. Well I was in the stand and went to get down when the perfect target of opportunity came out.
A bunny hopped out of the plum thickets, and all I could think was finally I am going to get to send a talon down range. I take the phoenix off and put the talon arrow on the launch pad. I drew I took my time waited for a break in the wind and I sent the arrow. As I watch the arrow fly across the 64 yards I am getting excited yes its on target. Well at the last second the rabbit "hugged" the ground and the arrow sailed just above its head allowing him to live another day. So still no luck with the Talon I am trying Stan I will get one before the end of this year!

Hey Dustin, I've had them do the same to me...from a lot closer. I've taken some shots at cottontails with my longbow and I swear they just laugh before they get out of the way. At 64 yards I think I'd be happy just to see it
![]() I missed a shot last night myself. A nutria swimming at a little over 30 yards Next time...

I'm with you Dustin, I have yet to run the Talon through anything. Soon enough though, soon enough.

Guys when you finally hit something with them, the sound will never leave your ears. I love it, Nutra cute, they look like a monster rat, we have a few showing up here in east Texas and the wardens here are waging war on them.
I am with Travis, the heads fly as well as fieldpoints. If you can hit it with field points the Talon will be right there also.

You would have but rabbits twitch muscles are worse than a deer, plus they are always on guard for predation from above. You bust one that far brother I am clapping for you.
