Chris - Stan and Mike are really good people. Their booth had a good amount of traffic I believe. I hung out there a couple of times on Friday. They got some good leads on a few things that I won't disclose. Stan did show me a few nice looking ******** though that I believe in the future will tear some things up.

From when I spoke with Stan he said their was a lot of people interested in the Talon which he was very excited about and that was the main goal to get the talon out there more then it is.

Stan, told my buddy to look for your booth, but he said he couldn't find it. His bro in law owns a shop and was there. He's a Hoyt dealer now.

Finally home......little over a 10 hour drive. Had a great time with Stan and Mike and saw some interesting ideas. The Talon did go over REALLY WELL. I know Mike wanted to launch one at some turkeys across the booth....

Sounds like it may have a little more to that story

Well I can say this. If you don't like turkey screechin' you should get a booth space next to guys selling calls...and my brother doesn't hunt I do believe he was about ready to fire a shot in anger after three days of clucks...but I kinda liked it.

As always, it's a treat to get to spend any time with Travis and Steve, two fellas I'm proud to call friends. Great to get to meet some people for the first time, too, like Ike and John (HuntingtonsAssassin).

What an amazing show. I was a little overwhelmed by all of the things that were there. Most of it is really good stuff...and some was a little cheesy in my opinion. I'll only comment on the good stuff and recommend bowhunters use their own judgements in going for substance over style.

I had a great time meeting some of the other broadhead makers in the industry. I didn't get around to all of them, but I really liked meeting Woody Sanford from Magnus and Mark Land from Muzzy. They are both extremely knowledgeable about not only broadheads, but the archery industry as well and treated this newcomer like gold. I also got a chance to chat with Terry Hartcraft of Hartcraft X-Change and his wife and Tracy ? from the Reign broadhead company (I apologize for not catching his last name). Talk about two guys who are innovative, dedicated and hardworking. I really enjoyed both of them. Jeff Miller at Vantage Point Archery was also just a great guy to talk to and an amazing mind when it comes to what's possible with regards to machining.

I also really liked the fellas I met at Athens, New Breed Archery, and Strother Archery. Great guys in all camps, and all making what I consider to be very fine bows. I know when I go shopping for a new bow I'll have a tough decision on my hands.

Absolutely fell in love with Jill Halliburton from Norway Industries. What a classy lady...and she's from Oregon. I've shot Fusion vanes before and will now try their new Zeon Fusion edge glow vanes for next year.

I guess that's one thing I learned at the show. So much of what I saw was so much better than the stuff that was out there even five years ago, that I don't really think a bowhunter can go wrong if they stick with stuff that seems reasonable. I know that for me, much of what I choose in the future will be based on personal experience with the company or their representatives and NOT who has the slickest ad in a mag or on TV. I know there isn't one best bow, or as Woody points out in his byline one best broadhead. Or, one best release or sight or arrow, etc. I thought so many of them were really, really good. It's just a matter of finding out what's best for you, and that needs to be determined by trying them out.

To all of the people who I had the pleasure of talking to, and who stopped by the booth to say hi, I want to say Thank You. It made for a great week.

You will have to let me know how those vanes work out for you. I saw them and I am very intrigued.

And I 100% agree on that last statement about the industry in general

It was great to meet you too. I really enjoyed talking with you, and hanging out what little we actually did. It was nice to see your product in person for a change. It is a great one. I am going to have to get myself a pair of Talons!
