Default 2 blade prototype

Well I have been testing the 2 blade proto type along with other RFA Staff members.

Anyway it is getting closer to being a production head so I think we can share a few details. It will have a stainless steel blade and a case hardened steel ferrule for a very strong head. It will be a micro 2 blade head that will provide a large cut, small profile, and a large s shaped wound channel that is associated with all single bevel 2 blade heads.

I have been shooting the head a lot for accuracy testing and I can't get it to stay in the target it is just blowing through the target. I loved the phoenix but I think I have found my new head for the season, and quite possibly for life.

Once we dial in the ferrule a bit more I think this head will rival the silverflame for durability and it will blow it out of the water in price. Now am I saying it is the same quality, No. It may be a very high qaulity head but it doesn't compare to the materials in the SF. That doesn't take away from this head at all and in fact it helps make it much more affordable for everyone.

I don't know about you guys but I am definitely not afraid to shoot a $10 broadhead that might get lost versus one head that costs more then a 3 pack of broadheads.

A side note Stan I am thinking Raptor for a name, or falcon. Something stream lined, stealthy and definitely a bird of prey for this wicked head.

I hope they don't mind but Ike and Tmac both shot videos of the prototype in action.

Definitely going to keep up the bird theme. I was thinking Razor Hawk, but I kinda like the SilverHawk too. You might have something there, Matt!

Kinda like the one word bird names....Falcon, Raptor

Razor Hawk is cool as well as silver hawk, but silver hawk is kinda close to silver flame.

So I'm gonna go with.....Finch.....

It has been awhile since I have been on here. Hope everyone is doing good. The two blade looks good...When will they be ready for purchase?? Just wondering if I need to go ahead and buy the phoenix or wait for the silver hawk/rapture/sparrow to be available?

I like what I am seeing. Can't wait to test these my self. How about Peregrine. They swoop out the sky with lethal results. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the comments guys. Hate to speculate too much on the release date as every time I do, something comes up with a supplier/machinist/heat treater/etc. and I end up looking like an idiot for missing a date. I'm "hopefull" for a late August/early September date. Thanks again,

Stan

Default Names for 2 Blade

Griffon, Black Griffon, Night Griffon, Thunderbird, all mythological birds, just like the Phoenix, keeping it all in family.

Thumbs up

Wow! I'm impressed w/just the prototype. Lookin good!

Side note: Don't forget the Osprey. It's defiantly a great American hunter. Phoenix, Osprey, Talon...mesh pretty good.
