Default Razor Hawk Success

Got some pics today of a doe taken with the new Razor Hawk 125's by my friend Gerald Bridges. Congrats, Gerald!

Awesome Pictures! I just wish there was a better pic of the entrance/exit wound.

Well, it looks like penetration was not a problem! I can't wait until I get my chance to introduce a Razorhawk to a whitetail.

He has four fletchings? What are the advantages to that?

A lot of guys like to use 4 fletchings to really help steer broadheads. I personally don't like it because it adds more weight to the back of the shaft. I shoot for a high FOC which essentially does the same thing by giving my fletchings more leverage to do their job.

Great shooting Gerald

Since these are two blade is it safe to assume that the spiral wound channel is just as scary if not scarier than the pheonix?

The wound channel would be similar to the phoenix, but the entrance and exit wound will look like a flattened out S.

I have not seen any pics of the blood trail but with all broadheads it will be mostly a issue of shot placement more then the broadhead.

If you shoot a deer high it has to fill up with blood before it starts to spill out of the wounds where as a lower hit will have blood hitting the ground much sooner and the blood will be easier to follow at least that seems to be the trend for me no matter which head I have on.

Not sure of the bloodtrail either. When I talked to Gerald on the phone it seems like he said something about a 25-30 yard recovery, but I don't think he mentioned what the bloodtrail was like. He did say it was warm so he got the animal loaded, hung and skinned in pretty quick time.

Here's another deer down with a Razor Hawk, taken by our own Tyson (T-Mac) McKibben. Way to go, T-Mac!
