Default I have a couple of questions for the experts.

I have a question... I shoot the phoenix and love the head..100grain... My question is how do the 100 grain hawks fly in comparison? Meaning, do they fly close enough to the phoenix, that I can have the phoenix and hawk in my quiver at the same time... and not worry about missing the mark beacause they fly differently... 2: One more question?? I have been thinking of switching from 100 grain to 125 grain heads.. All I shoot are hogs and whitetail (southern whitetail). The avg whitetail buck will weigh around 140lbs...So i know the 100 grain are plenty of head. But what advantage would a 125 grain have over a 100 grain and vise vs. Thanks

BT

Where are you from? Your bucks sound about the same size as ours here in SW Oklahoma.

I can not coment on the flight comparison unfortunately. On the advantages of the 125 vs 100 however I can say it will increase your FOC (front of center). I'm no expert on this, so if i make a mistake someone please correct me. With a higher FOC you can find greater penetration, and also easier tuning of broadheads as it gives your fletching more steering power. There is a possibilty that you will have to move to a higher spine to because adding weight to the front weakens the arrow spine. With me however this was not true. That being said, I'm not sure that 25 grains wil make much of a difference, i shoot 100's and 125's and they actually all group together out to 30 yrds for me, and I really don't see much greater penetation, or accuracy with 125's. What setup do you shoot, that might help with this question.

I shoot a bowtech allegiance... It shoots in the 280 fps... I think I am going to order some razor hawks but I sure would like to know if they fly like the phoenix..That way I can hunt with either one..depending on the mood I'm in. I guess I will stick with the 100's... unless someone can convince me of mind change reason...

The only reason I was looking at changing is the cutting width...a little bigger could help?

They will fly with the phoenix for you no doubts if anything I think the hawks fly a little better then the phoenix.

And for your setup if you are happy with 100 grains no reason to switch, no real advantages or disadvantages to going to 125 grains it all depends on what you want out of your arrow. I was going for higher FOC so I bumped up to 125s and have not had any issues.

Dsom223 laid things out pretty well for you so if you have any specific questions feel free to ask but I don't really think I could have said it any better.
