Default Phoenix success 2011....

I thought I would get this thread going since the RazorHawk is up and running... I shot this six point Oct 1st this year... Its a bad pic(with my phone)...I never seem to have my camera with me when I need it. Anyway, six point 14 3/4 wide. I shot him at 28 yds broadside and the phoenix had him down within 20yds. I slammed him. No tracting was needed, which was nice for a change.
I plan on shooting the razorhawk at something next... The doe better watch out cause I plan to do a little freezer work this weekend.

Congrats. I may have to order some of those BH's and give them a try in the summer. Been watching all the video reviews and am impressed.

I put down a doe with a Phoenix this morning. I'll post pics later but it did a great job as always.

Heres some entry and exit hole pics from a doe I got this morning. Entry Through the leg meat.
Entry on the inside hit a rib dead on.
Exit on inside of the cage.
Exit on the outside.
She made it about 80yards. The shot was from a ground blind at 27 yards. Total pass through with an easy to follow bloodtrail. This is the second deer ive got with the same Phoenix.

Well good news. #3 has been taken with the same phoenix head! It was a small 6 pointer shot by my younger brother at age 13, I will have photos up of the deer and the head after it. It was shot with my bowtech. around a 10 yard shot with zero tracking required as it struck him high and forward and took out the spine. and the broadhead passed through with no damage and broke off sticking out the otherside and lumenok glowing bright as light was fading.has a slight ding in the blade. But after doing what it did I expected more then that. Pictures up tomorrow.

Well I got to sling another arrow last Saturday...Well let me start the story on Friday morning... I took a day of vacation so I could hunt and also keep my little girl in the afternoon. Well the morning hunt was awesome..It was the first cloudy day we have had since I can remember and deer seemed to like it. The first deer of the morning was and eight pt with a small kicker coming off his G2. I had him inside 25 yds but for whatever reason I let him walk. He was a nice deer and I was kicking myself after he finally fed off...but I kept sitting and around nine is when the doe started moving. I saw 12 doe between 9 and 11 so there was plenty of action. At 11 I started using my grunt call and a six pt came out running. He was looking hard and I could have shot him but I let him walk as well.....Move to Saturday... I got in the same stand and at the same time the buck came out Friday morning I had this buck come through...I shot him at 22 yards and thought I hit him back, but I heard a crash...When he crashed that same six pt from Friday popped out and took off after the noise...Anyway I got down and gave my deer and hour or so. When I got to my arrow the blood was everywhere. The deer ran 100yds and I could follow the blood trail as fast as I could walk... The entry and exit holes are huge...I love this broadhead...

Thanks. I will. And BigTimber that is a monster! Congratulations! I love this broadhead as well! I will continue to use it!
Heres the six point with my dad. My brother is camera shy.
Entry hole with the phoenix and broken arrow shaft
Also look how short this deers tail is!
Entrance hole on the inside
Exit hole
I was so surprised to see it pass through. Incredible penetration! It cut the artery under the spine and he was done very quickly. Also I just took the head to my knife sharpening fine stone and brought it up to a razors edge ready for another.
