Well I shot this doe Oct 4th in a small 20' x 40' patch of trees right next to a feild we were harvesting. I just was sitting on the bank with the bow waiting for the truck to get loaded with grain. She came by gave me a shot I took it she went 40 yards - 60 yards and was done. I had a great consistant blood trail the whole way.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Entrance ![]() Exit ![]() And for fun here is what a phoenix will do to bone: Setup for all these shots is: 82lb New Breed Genetix 29" draw .300 spine Easton Axis arrow 28" long raw shaft 75 grain brass insert Broadhead Adapter Ring 3 2" rayzr feathers Firenock 6" white arrow wrap 100 grain Phoenix (switched to 125's at the end of the season for FOC boost) Approx 14-15% F.O.C Total arrow weight 525 grains at the time and was shooting around 285 fps approx with extra weight on the string. Total KE: 94.59 ft/lbs Total Momentum: 0.668 slug-ft/s Hope I didn't forget anything tried to be as detailed as possible.
