Would I have any trouble shooting the Grizztrick or the ST Mag's? I am pushing Carbon Express Piledriver 350's at 11.3 gpi. The guy at the local shop said not to with those arrows due to the arrow spine. He did not elaborate on his reasoning. I believe thespecs on these to be the following:
Spine .345" Straightness (inches)+/- .005" max Grains per inch 11.3 Weight tolerance (grains) +/- 1.0 grains. I am interested in the grizztricks since they have the little bit bigger cut but any input would be greatly appreciated. PL

You should have know trouble with either. I shot the slick trick mags on goldtip 5575 8.2 grains which is a 400 spine 367 grains total arrow weight at 73 pounds 29 inch draw.I had pass thru's on every deer i shot out to 43 yards. I hit some pretty heavy bones as well.
With the weight of your arrows and 345 spine there will be know issues with the grizz tricks in my opinion either. I have never shot the grizz trick but would highly recommend the Slick trick mags in your set up. |

I have a 28" DL set at 73lbs now. The total arrow weight with a broadhead is roughly 422grain. I was shooting carbon force dominators (7.8gpi) at 316 fps. These numbers come from cabelas; they had me shoot through a chronograph. Do you think I would be able to shoot the Grizztrick and be alright?

Very well...shot a buck last year at about 30 yards....quatering away....in behind the last rib...and out through the front shoulder. I also shot a doe last year in the crease of the neck between where the shoulder and neck meet. The broad head penetrated right through the back bone and lodged into it. She fell where she stood. Not the best shot in the world but the grizztrick did its job.

I won't lie and say they are pristine when you get done pulling them out of the ground after they blow through your game, but they do still take an edge and still spin nicely.
So far I have shot a couple of nice hogs like this one, ![]() sorry it's not that good a pic, I took it from my 15' stand with my phone since it was all I had with me. If you look close right in the fold of the leg you can see the exit hole. At the shot she ran straight up the hill behind me, careened off two different trees, and came back down and hit the tree by her head rolled around and that was it. Total yardage MIGHT have been 25 from start to stop. Best thing is the road is just out of the pic past her rear. Both my bud and I have taken several this size or smaller, and most times there is one blade which might be a bit worse for wear, but I simply pull out the Lanski and whip them right back into sharp. We have rolled the tips over a bit, but the damage has been already been done, and we have not to this point had any that didn't go completely through. Once the tips roll or bend a tiny bit, I simply file them off square and put a 25 degree edge on it too. IT generally ends up only being about 1/16" wide, similar to a VERY sharp eye glass screwdriver. They really hold up well like this also. I was told to put an angled tip similar to the Magnus heads, but I find it easier to get it squared off, than to try and file two equal length sides. If you do decide to try them be forewarned, you will be amazed at the holes they put in stuff all out of proportion to their size, and you might not want to ever use anything else.

Does your local shop owner sell Slick Tricks? If not then I doubt he will push them...
As for your set-up, I don't see ANY reason why you wouldn't be able to shoot either. Not sure why he would have told you this... As for what they do to an animal, PM Gerhard, he has tested them on a VARIETY of animals. Best of luck!

thank you lungbuster. i have been talking about the silencers.i was told they slow a bow or crossbow down. I was pretty sure it does if it is on strings or cables, but wasn't sure if installed on limbs?
what do you guys think
