Default why no 6pks?

I used ST mags and standards this season for the first time with excellent results. I'd like to stay with them, and most likely will. However, it makes more sense economically to go back to Muzzy since The 6pk is close to the same price as a 3pk of tricks. I honestly think alot more people would turn to ST's if they came in a 6pk.

As I already stated, I think the tricks are amazing. But I'm doing my homework looking for a comparable head, and I've found a couple other brands in a 6pk for the price of the tricks.

Hello Hawgenvy,

Sorry for the delayed response. Well, Slick Trick could make the cheapest heads, but we are interested in making the best heads for the best performance on your animals. That costs money. Actually, Tricks are under priced for their quality. There is only one company that has the best blades that Lutz has ever made, That is Slick Trick with Mercedes Blades. There is a difference between Custom Knife Grade Solingen Germany blades as opposed to run of the mill blades in both performance and price.

Trick Ferrules are made of a super steel much, much stronger than any aluminum. Stronger than Stainless, Stronger than MIM (Molded) Steel, Stronger than Titanium. When you have the Best Quality parts made by the best craftsman in the USA and Germany that costs more than otherwise.

But what you get is the best heads possible. People who consider that sometime in their hunting lifetime they will draw down on the biggest trophy they will ever have the pleasure of meeting like to have the best odds of bringing it home. If a cheaper head fails to deliver thats penny wise and pound foolish. Consider how many hours you spend hunting and how important the greatest trophy of your life is worth to you.

Economically the quality counts. One guy shot 52 animals with a 125 Mag ferrule, the last one a buffalo. It was still good to go but he sent it when asked so we could have it as a record. And he had resharpened and replaced blades when needed. Thats pretty cost effective.

Guys shoot one piece heads considering they are economical because they are strong. Ours is just as strong, but you have the convenience of popping in super sharp fresh blades in a few seconds. The 30 degree angle you have to use sharpening those one piece heads is a liability as it can't possibly be as sharp as a knife. You know that because knifemakers never use 30 degrees, they use 20 degrees since it is inherently sharper not being as blunt an angle. Or you can notice the companies who make one piece heads and also make replaceable blade heads don't make their replaceable blades with a 30 degree angle, they make them the sharper angle, naturally. Our blades come sharper and they can be resharpened sharper since they are custom knife grade. Sharper counts on animals. The kicker is that if you ding a tip or blade on a rock the one piece head is in the trash. The Trick all you have to do is replace the part that needs it and keep using the rest. Thats economical.

People constantly encourage us to keep making our heads with their quality and we pledge to them we will. You can find dozens of companies with a lot of advertising selling a lot of heads for 5 or 10 dollars more than ours that have less quality with only 2 or 3 blades.

If others had the company and kept the quality they would price the heads at least $10 more based on what their heads now sell for.

Perspectives differ on all subjects, actually people send us emails telling us they appreciate the low cost considering the quality. We could make our ferrules and blades of cheaper materials in third world countries and price them a lot cheaper. Others choose to go that route, we prefer to go this route. Would obviously prefer to get blades made here in the US also, but nobody here could produce them due to the shape and with the quality and quantity needed. Germany is top prices, but thats what it took to get what we wanted.

Anyway, thats our philosophy on making broadheads. There are a lot of heads out there to choose from, we make ours the best we can for those who like what we do, and will as long as they do.

Whatever anybody shoots, hope you get your biggest ever this year, Happy New Year.
