Default Any Problems with no pass through

Ok...so this broadhead will go out with me this fall but one of my concerns that what happens if I don't get a pass through. I'm pulling 80# with 30 inch draw and I am not really that concerned about NOT getting one but for someone with less in both categories would they be in trouble with a small blood trail if they don't get a pass through. Reason I am asking is because the broadhead does not open until it penetrates the hide, so will a small entry hold be enough. I am just wondering if anyone have experience with this.

The head will give you a\n 1 1/4 inch entrance hole. About the same size you would get with an Zwicky or and old Bear Razor.

A number of the elk (over 50 total) we have taken did not have an exit hole. None traveled over 50-80 yards. Still great blood trails.

This bull is pictured with the entrance holes showing.Rfelk1.jpg

Not to use this website for polotical purposes, but on an earlier post I said I would provide updates to my son's spring bear hunt here in AZ. Well we have had some encounters with bears. No good opportunities just yet. But we do encounter drug runners ALL the time. For those of you who think AZ is out of line with the new law. Try hunting with your 13 year old and encountering this every weekend.127_0086.jpg

wow that an impressive elk. Can't wait to see what these broadheads do to deer. As for the drug traffickers...wow how sad...poor kid(meaning your son)

1 1/4 inch entrance hole. wow not bad.....bigger than most fixed blade broad heads. so even the entrance hold will allow plenty of blood to flow.

I might try the swhacker with a 50# 27in. draw bow at 310 fps this year.

Not saying it isn't possible but swhacker recommends at least 60# K.E.

Well that is true, but I might push it and I'll put pic's up if I try it and get a deer.

Adam I think you will be okay. Rick's son uses them and I do not think he is pushing 60# K.E they open awesome and it does not take a lot of weight to get the blades out of the ferule.

Tim, do you shoot 100 grain or 125. I think you could push the 100 grain easy.
