Default Swhacker Ferrule?

I have been looking at this broadhead and was wondering what is the ferrule made out of? Is it steel or aluminum?

The ferrule is made from anodized aircraft aluminum and the tip is made from hardened high-carbon steel. Very durable head's from what ive seen so far.

Thanks Lungbuster...I really appreciate the info. I was thinking so but was not sure since they are such a long broadhead. Was wondering how they could hold up being so long. Thanks again!

If you shoot a tree or a brick then I would expect the feral would get tweaked. I don't think much in a whitetail is going to hurt it.

I hear ya MLN. I have to agree with you on some of the durability tests. My deer are hardcore put I don't think they are hard as bricks yet..lol. I understand what people are trying to do with the tests but I find crazy that people won't look at a head because it won't penetrate a brick or a board and not bend a blade or brake a little. A little far fetched but who am I to judge. Happy hunting and shoot straight everyone! I love this sight and all the information and feed back. Thanks for all the experience!!!

I think you'll be pleased with them if you decide to try them out...ive shot two deer and a pig with mine so far this season (using the 125 grain 2.25") and all of them have been in the ground on the other side with no problems.
