just lookin for some info on a good trad set up for deer. keep in mind i have a 25'' draw on a compound. i have a blackhawk that is 45#@ 28 so ithink i comes out to 36# at my dl so i know i prob will have to go to a heavier bow and that is fine just hoping for help on were to start. any info would be great. thank you all for the wonderful info that i have gottin so far

Are you shooting wood or carbons? If you want a 3-blade I think our Phoenix will penetrate as well as anything out there. That being said if I was shooting a light set up with a shortish draw I'd shoot a two blade like a Magnus stinger, or a Grizzly if you like single bevel or there is always the very reliable old Zwickeys. I've killed deer with all of them and would recommend them all.

I *think* normally when it's under 50lbs it's around 2lbs 1.5lbs you lose per inch. I'd have a finished arrow that's 10-11gpi and no less and a razor sharp two blade Magnus Stinger or Magnus I on the end. Shot selection is incredibly important.

hey guys thanks for the info. shooting a trad setup next year is something that i am toyin around with. im am deff goin to upgrade to a better bow, and be shootin carbons. as for heads it goin to between magnus and RFA

STOS is another good option for a broadhead. Better built than most and wont brake the bank either.
