I don't believe there are any differences because the ABCC Masterlist has not added any new variations since the 1980's. There was a small change in the tip a long time ago when they went from a pointed tip to a dual bevel with the angle right at the tip being almost 90 degrees.

I didnt think so either but do know the new El Grande's had a more equal width bevel on the beveled side that doesnt go "staggered" look (the second layer of metal doesnt go to the edge) the 3/4 inch or so.
I dont recall seeing them any other way but this guy was insistant that I realize they were the originals and not the new ones. Guess Ill find out when I see em? lol Either way, wanted to get some before they become any scarcer than now. If there IS a difference, figured someone here might have both to compare. These are 190 grain, Right bevel according to the seller.
Think the newer El Grandes were 200 or 160 and the old were 150 and 190? The extra metal at the rear that I think is the difference would account for the weight change? God Bless |
