Default The 145 grain Eclipse broadhead

This morning, I took a few shots using my 245 grain Eclipse broadheads ( 100 grain steel insert with 145 grain glue on Eclipse ). I am shooting a 80# Athens Exceed 300, using 28 1/4" Carbon Express 450 Piledriver arrows and all of these are guided by FOB's.

Well let me tell you, I am having absolutely no issues with these broadheads flying where my field points do and that is from 20 to 90 yards. Give Blake a call at Eclipse broadheads and give these traditional broadheads a try, they are pretty sweet indeed.

Daniel

I have missed seeing posts from you. I heard your 100# bow broke. Are you going to get it fixed?

So what does this arrow weigh and how quick is it moving from this bow? Did you use this setup for your fall hunting?

Hi Big Boar, yeap, my big bow broke however it was due to me not checking if my nocks were good, the one that I used was cracked and BOOM !!!!! Dry firing a 101# bow makes alot of noise and you will find parts flying everywhere. Thank goodness I didn't get hurt.

As an update on my bow, I will be putting it back together in a couple of weeks and instead of it having 101# limbs, I made a change to 80# limbs. Yeap, I still have a bit of the jitters thinking about what happened before but I am getting back on the horse again and away we go. I really miss my bow.

No that is not the set up I used this fall, I had another set up and I was fortunate enough to arrow a nice bull elk and deer, both complete pass thrus with my Swhacker 125 grain broadheads. It was quite a rush and I am so looking in going again next year.

These Eclipse broadheads have done some serious damage for me in the past and they are and will always be in my arsenal of broadheads.
