I shot the stricknine by trophy ridge last year, which I think is a 3 blade inch and 3/4 expandable, 125 gr. they did awesome on everything I hit! just dont expext to get another shot out of um, cuz once they hit something they are d-o-n-e DONE

They also make one called the tomahawk i believe thats a 150 gr, 2 1/4" with that same setup that my buddy shot, huge hole with same results after use, bent and broken blades

In the past I have used Muzzy 3 blade for deer and turkey, but I am going to use Rage 2 blade next spring.

I have always wondered about the durability of heads such as the gobbler guillotine and heads comparable. I know that the huge cutting diameter is a plus but to me it seems to be a one shot blade. I would be hesistant to shoot them if that was the case.

Mule,

They are 100% a one shot deal. I've shot 5 turkeys in the past 3 years and have shot all of them with Slick Trick standard 100's. I have put every turkey down and never had a problem. My Tricks have been great for me. As for the Guillotine, My father shot 2 in one year and just to wittness the carnage was AWESOME! However, they are TOOOOO expensive and fly horrible past 20yds. So i guess if you have the cash and want to give them a shot go for it.

I heard the Rage 2 blade puts em down HARD!!! makes sense considering you do get less penetration with the rage and that is generally what u want when dealing with turkey. What about the turkey terror? Cutting Diameter isn't very big is my only concern

I use the same for deer, I tried the ones made by Magnus, but didnt like them b/c I had to use a different length arrow. But they worked well

I've been using the Hypershock. Like the 125gr. for the 2 3/4" width, and long ferrule. Lets face it.. turkeys are wearing kevlar. That long chisel point ferrule punches through those feathers nicely, and the 2 3/4" semitar shaped blades cut a tremendous hole.

They seem to be fairly durable as well.

Default Turkey smacker!

Now dont laugh!!!
By accident I used one of my Muzzys MX3 with the practice blades in it and the knock down power was incedible!! I have been using that setup ever since!
This arrow stayed in the bird regardles of hit area and knockdown power is unbelievable!!!
I know it sounds crazy! But it really works!

A MUCH better alternative to the Guillotine is the Magnus Bullhead. The blades are much stronger and the flight is excellent. There is a handful of youtube video showing how well they fly. If I am not mistaken, I think one of the videos is of a kid shooting them at 40 yards.

My personal choice is the Vortex Pro Extreme. 2 3/4" cut 125 grain and unlike the Rockets I shot in the past they have EXTREMELY tough blades. I killed 2 gobblers last year with the very same head and the blades are still perfect and only required a little touch up. The only time I have damaged blades on the Vortex is on spine shots. By the way.....shoot them with a Vortex and hit them good and I promise they won't leave your sight. They sometimes don't even move. They are a GREAT mechanical.

I've been using the 2 and 3 blade rages with good results.
