Default Turkey Head?

I am not for sure on what head to use this spring, the ones that are used to decapitate the turkeys head are not for me. I rather shoot them in the body, bigger target, I would like to know what everybody uses and what they have experience with them. I have been looking at the Turkey Terrors on the Shed's web-site, and think I will try these out in Kentucky this spring.

WABOWMAN had a thread about where to shoot em' and with what head. The posts on there may help. Here's the link.

Where do you shoot them and with what head?

Thanks for the link, I read all the post and think I will try what Booner is going to try. I am going to order some Terrors and some of the Steel Forces and hopefully I can get a shot on a couple of birds and I will take some pics and get them posted.

I have real good success in the past with muzzy 3 blades. I'm going to try something new this year, I might give a go with the G5 Montec CS or the Steel Force Talon... or both

Almost anything with a big cutting diameter seems to work decent. I shot two with Rage 2 blade last year and neither one penetrated hardly at all. I won't be making that mistake again.

Have any of you killed a bird with a Bullhead or a Guillotine?

I really like the Snuffers for turkey. I shoot for the body, not the head.

I've posted it in other threads, but I like the hypershock. I use the 125's. They have a long, chisel point ferrule, to punch through the feathers, and the blades are 2 3/4". They fly good, and put a hole in a turkey the size of your fist.

Personally I have never shot a turkey with a bow, going to put all the guns down this year for all the seasons. So no I have never killed a bird with a Guillotine or a Bullhead before, I think I should get a conventional broad head this year on getting a few birds under the belt. Maybe in a year or two I will try for the head shot. There is so many choices of heads to try, I need more vacation days and a small bank roll to hunt multiple states this spring.

Remember that turkeys have very large quills on the wings. They are tough to get through!
Any head with hooks are just going to hang up and not penetrate. I read some where about a turkey guide that said he had been on 70 turkey kills with a bow and not one had full penetration. You don't need anything to retard penetration.Stay with a fixed blade that is sharp and you'll be AOK. Another bit of speculation was to shoot them in the drumsticks, the thought being if they can't run they can't get airborne.
I'm either using 160 gr Snuffers or a custom Deadhead or Ace 4 blade. Or maybe MA-3 or custom Semerod 3blade......I have way tooo many heads to chose from!!!!
