Another invader from South of Africa -

Hi everybody
I came across this site because of a post by Gerhard on our local bowhuntingforum. I am new (2 years) to the bowhunting sport and a keen learner. I also intend promoting crossbowhunting locally but as in the USA it is going to be an uphill struggle.

My first hunt last year from a hide with a Mathews DXT was unsuccessfull as the kudu were frightend off by the farmer's daughter on a quadbike when they were 50 yards away.

I will be hunting some other place this year. I stay in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape and we have lots of game farms where one can hunt the whole year round.

Thanks for the welcome. I shoot 70 lb DXT with 100gr 3 & 4 blade Muzzy on my arrows. African Horizontal Bow Hunter is what I want to pursue with an Excalibur Crossbow.

I have done a few reports here on the forum...

The new season starts in a couple of months and then I am sure there will be a lot more...

Gerhard, thanks for the invite. I have been admiring your photos for awhile. I am heading to Texas I a few hours in the hopes of sticking a nice wild hog with my Grim Reapers and get first blood with my Accomplice! Oh, I forgot to mention my wife says it's to visit family.
